Health & Safety Policies
1. General Health Acknowledgment
By using MFC facilities, equipment, and services, Members affirm they are in good physical and mental health and do not have any medical condition that would prevent safe participation in exercise or related activities. Members are encouraged to consult a physician prior to beginning any new fitness program.
2. Communicable Disease Prevention
Members must not enter MFC if they are experiencing symptoms of communicable illnesses, including but not limited to fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, or shortness of breath.
Members who have tested positive for contagious diseases (e.g., COVID-19, influenza) should follow current CDC, state, and local public health guidance before returning to the gym.
MFC reserves the right to deny access to any individual exhibiting symptoms of contagious illness or failing to comply with health guidelines.
3. Sanitation and Hygiene
Members must practice proper hygiene, including washing hands thoroughly and using provided sanitizers before and after using equipment and facilities.
Members must wipe down equipment after use with cleaning supplies provided by MFC.
Spitting, sneezing, or coughing openly without covering mouth and nose is prohibited.
Members should wear appropriate attire and footwear in all workout areas required for adequate safety.
4. Face Coverings and Masks
MFC follows current Minnesota state and local public health guidelines regarding mask-wearing.
Members may be required to wear face coverings in common areas or indoor spaces during periods of heightened public health risk.
Failure to comply with mask policies may result in denied access or removal from the facility.
5. Pool, Sauna, and Spa Safety
Use of the pool, sauna, and spa facilities is at the Member’s own risk and subject to posted safety rules and supervision requirements.
Children under 14 years old must be actively supervised by a responsible adult while using these facilities.
Members should not use pool, sauna, or spa facilities if they have open wounds, communicable skin conditions, or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
6. Incident Reporting
Members must promptly report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to MFC staff.
MFC staff are authorized to take necessary emergency measures and contact emergency services if required.
7. Right to Modify Policies
MFC reserves the right to modify these health and safety policies at any time to comply with evolving public health guidance and legal requirements.
